L32 - Magnetostatics Lab#
Magnetostatics Lab
The Module 3 lab. Packet to be posted.
Lesson 32 · Module 3: Magnetostatics · Maj Ellis · Dr. Neil Rogers
Learning Objectives
- I can use the Biot-Savart law to simple magnetostatic systems to find the magnetic field at an observation point.
- I can articulate the meaning of both the integral form and point form of Gauss's Law for magnetism.
- I can use Ampere's Law to calculate the magnetic field at an observation point for simple magnetostatic systems.
- I can apply the magnetic field boundary conditions to calculate magnetic fields on both sides of a material boundary.
Lab Packet
The Spring 2027 packet for this lab will be posted here before the period.
Reading
The lab packet, start to finish, before the period.
Under Construction
This lesson is being converted to the new course format. The objectives and reading above are current; the notes, slides, and practice problems will replace the Spring 2025 material as they are finished.
